FreeG display captivates at National Champs

Audiences at the Australian National Championships were captivated by the dynamic FreeG display provided by Skylark Sports.

First developed by British Gymnastics, Freestyle Gymnastics  fuses traditional gymnastics and acrobatic tricks, with kicks and leaps made famous through martial arts and brought to worldwide attention by festival performances and stunt actors.

FreeG is designed to get hearts racing and develop a heightened sense of spatial awareness that can be put to good use in a variety of other sports (including boarding, biking, skiing, climbing and surfing)

Gymnastics Australia will be rolling out the FreeG program to clubs and coaches as an exciting new way to retain existing athletes as well as  attract new members.  FreeG coach workshops will be held in each state over the coming months.  For more information on how your club can get involved contact Robyn Tribe, National Participation Manager at rtribe@gymnastics.org.au.
